I cant recommend this enough to any pilots!

The amount I progressed in just the one week was insane and im so happy with how it all went.

I did my course with Richard who is a top guy and his attention to detail is spot on, as I am paramotor pilot he tailord the week towards everything that I was looking to get out of it and i feel so much better now flying back at home.

Already booked on to go back to olundeniz for the acro course and I cannot wait.🪂

I enrolled in my first SIV course with Richard in Oludeniz Turkey and loved it so much I am going back for two more sessions this year. I was excited to do my first SIV in order to better understand my new wing and to feel confident in managing big air. I live in Colorado so big air is a daily occurrence. Richard spent time with me prior to getting started to explain gear care and kit checking, walk me through the site, explain and show "the box" where I will do the manoeuvres, discuss and show the landing area, and took the time to learn areas in which I wanted to focus my skill development. On radio, Richard is calm and comical and conveys clear instructions during manoeuvre-making SIV fun! As we started the course, I developed a love of acro and Richard picked up on my desire to push myself and allowed me to progress at my pace and add skills to the agenda to learn. Despite getting some bad weather and not flying as much as I intended, I learned more from Richard in the few flights under his instruction than I have in paragliding thus far. He does very thorough debriefs for every flight while reviewing footage, he puts in extra time to ensure you understand the manoeuvres while in a simulator, and he truly cares about seeing you progress and feel confident under your wing. The only downside to Richard is that he cannot be in my ear all the time when flying because he doesn't live in Colorado....but maybe this will convince him to at least take a trip out here!

I highly recommend the free flight academy.
Richard, lee and the rest of the team really know there stuff !
I initially spoke to Richard about a guide for oludeniz . I'm a low air time pilot and wanted a guide for a couple of days to get me used to the area etc
He recommended that I join the siv course instead.
I was a bit apprehensive at first . ' I'm not ready for siv!' I thought.
But he assured me that siv isn't what it used be . 'we don't just bundle the gliders mid air '
He then explained that we can take things at my own pace .
A Tailored course beginning with recapping the basics , glider control and moving on to siv when I'm ready .
Which we did and my confidence grew .
I joined onto the course for a few days and we started with all the basics. Going over big ears, speed bar and turning techniques . Them moving on to some siv . All at my own pace just pushing me slightly out my comfort zone when Richard knew I was ready .

He has an incredible way of making you feel calm and at ease . He is obviously extremely dedicated to his work and there for an excellent teacher , taking the time to tailor everything to the students needs and abilities.

I was also very impressed with the whole team in general. It was well organised with a launch marshal and bus up to the mountains, detailed de briefs and you also get all the footage emailed to you .

I hope to go back again at somepoint and do a full week .
Thanks Adam

I did a SIV with Lee Tryhorn in May and stayed on for another week and did a few additional days training with Rich.
Rich is friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and gave me huge confidence in the air. I gained a lot from my extra training with Rich so I have booked with Rich for a weeks SIV/Acro training in October.

How far do you want to go? SIV or further, the truth is you don’t know until you start and I can thoroughly recommend this as the place to start or continue training. I have been training with Richard over the past 18 months, you will get first class training and attention to detail, this builds your flying skills and confidence. Oh and you will have fun doing it in the sun in an amazing place that is Oludeniz. I can thank Richard and Lee for the way I fly now, it’s not just the flying skills you will learn but your approach to how you fly in the future. They genuinely care about your flying and have a passion for all things paragliding and it shows. If you are thinking about training do it, who knows where it will take you.

I've done two SIV trips, one with Lee and one with Richard. Both are excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.
